Thank you to all of our loyal donors who contribute to Grosse Pointe Theatre each year. Our 78 years of success is directly tied to your friendship and support. It is our partnership with our donors that completes the financial resources necessary to fulfill our promises to patrons, students and the regional arts community.

For those of you who have not donated in the past – or if you’re interested in learning more about donating to Grosse Pointe Theatre, please take a moment to read the following information.

Supporting your favorite theatre company with an annual donation is more valuable than you think! Making a contribution gives you the satisfaction of knowing you have played a tangible role in the continued success of Grosse Pointe Theatre and its outreach to the community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Don’t I support Grosse Pointe Theatre when I buy a ticket?
When you buy a ticket to the movies or to a baseball game, the cost of that ticket covers 100% of the expenses associated with producing that event. When you buy a ticket to the theatre, the cost of that ticket barely covers a portion of the expenses associated with producing the play. Theatres are non profit organizations which survive through the generosity of their donors. A night at the theatre should be financially possible for everyone! Our goal is to keep our ticket prices in a range where everyone can afford to go to the theatre.
Can I make a donation in addition to my ticket purchase?
Yes! Grosse Pointe Theatre keeps the ticket prices at a reasonable level in the hopes that our patrons will donate at a level comfortable for them. Whether it is a $5, $500 or even a $5,000 donation from a long-standing friend of Grosse Pointe Theatre, generosity at any level makes an enormous impact on our sustainability.
Is my donation tax deductible?

Your donation is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law! After your donation is processed by our office you will receive a thank you letter with all the information necessary. Please contact your tax advisor for further information.

What do you do with my donation?
Next time you attend a performance, just look at the costumes, props, and scenery, or listen to the orchestra to see the affect of your generosity. You can be assured that your donation helps with the costs of the productions in the current season. When attending a Grosse Pointe Theatre production, take pride in knowing your contribution is reflected on that stage.
How do I make a donation?
It’s very easy to make a tax-deductible donation to Grosse Pointe Theatre.
