Thanks for visiting us!
Welcome to our Grosse Pointe Theatre website! On this site you can
gather information about one of the premiere Community Theatres in
the State of Michigan, including a brief history of our group which
began in 1948. Grosse Pointe Theatre is not only a community theatre,
but a community. It is a group of individuals who have come together
to present theatre which "exceeds
the expectations of our members and our patrons."
We invite you to attend one of our productions. Our 2008-2009
Season is one of the pages here, as is our 2009-2010
Season. We also invite you to join our group to participate
in a theatrical production firsthand. See the Membership
section for that information. For additional information about GPT,

GPT Membership Meetings are held the second Monday of October,
February and May. These meetings are held in the Fries Ballroom of
the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, 32 Lakeshore, Grosse Pointe. We also
have a December holiday meeting at our rehearsal hall and a
celebratory meeting at the season's end. If you would like to
volunteer to work on a committee or a crew please contact our
volunteer coordinator, Barb Elliott. Just
