Welcome to our Grosse Pointe Theatre website! On this site you can gather information about one of the premiere Community Theatres in the State of Michigan, including a brief history of our group which began in 1948. Grosse Pointe Theatre is not only a community theatre, but a community. It is a group of individuals who have come together to present theatre which "exceeds the expectations of our members and our patrons." We invite you to attend one of our productions. Our "2007-2008 season" is one of the pages here. We also invite you to join our group to participate in a theatrical production firsthand. GPT Membership Meetings are generally the second Monday of the month. Our meetings are held in the Fries Ballroom of the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, 32 Lakeshore, Grosse Pointe. You can also volunteer to work on a committee or a crew by contacting our volunteer coordinator, Barb Elliott. Just click here to do so.
